Welcome, Wibbly Wordsters
One Mouse , Two Mice; One House, Two… Hice?
Plurals in English are pretty simple, aren’t they? You just add an ‘s’ to the noun, don’t you?
one pig – two pigs ;
one cow – three cows .
You get the idea. Easy. Umm… except when it isn’t!
This poem gives you an idea of just how crazy English plurals can be… 🤪
One hippopotamus, two… hippopotamuses?
Hippopotami?
Or just hippos?
You tell I!
